Graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit (Vocational Music). Attended the University of Michigan (organ performance), Oakwood University (Theology and Music), and completed Bachelor and Master Degrees from Wayne State University in Organ and Church Music. Studied organ performance in the University of Michigan Doctor of Music program. Received Teaching certification from Madonna University and is licensed by the State of Michigan in k-12 music education. Retired from Detroit Public Schools as a vocal and instrumental music teacher after 25 years. Organist and Music Coordinator for the Oakwood Church, and is organist and adult choir director at Outer Drive Faith Church. Is the accompanist for the Oakwood Academy choir and the Oakwood Church choir. Performs as a solo organist and with the Oakwood and Outer Drive Faith Handbell choirs and the Billy D. Brooks Memorial vocal choir. Currently directs the Oakwood Academy Handbell choir and teaches piano.
